For this assignment I chose to compare Windows Movie Maker and Debug Wax. After exploring and experimenting with both I feel more comfortable using the Windows Movie Maker. Although Wax states that it is easier to use I found that Movie Maker was more idiot proof. When trying to use Wax I could not get my video to upload because it was not a Wax project. Movie Maker makes it easy for you to both create and edit videos. Many of the options that are shown are ones that you also use in many Microsoft Products. When you have completed your movie you can save the them as High Definition, Standard, Wider Screen and many other options. You can also use the software to publish your movie on YouTube or add a plug in. They both have many positives as listed above. The main on is that they are both free. Movie Maker gives you the opportunity to combine movies together as does Wax. The features in Movie Maker are easy to use but as for Wax there are few. I could not locate and even think about cons for Movie Maker except that it took a little bit to figure some things out. I also found it dissappointing that I couldn't figure out how to make different effects on each slide. Some of the cons for Wax are listed above and my biggest frustration was that I couldn't figure out how to upload my wav file when it was stated that it supports those files. Overall I enjoyed the opportunity to experiment with these editing softwares. I even found myself wanting to find others and see how easy or not easy they were.
